Inspired by the sea and the restless summer spirit, the collection brings all time classics and revives them with linear abstract depictions. The idea was to create a collection which will combine the basic summer must haves with the basic principles of ArtWear line which is uniqueness and celebration of art in form the abstract beauty of fabric painting. Colours featured in the collection are: white, the ultimate summer neutral as well as black but also blue and purple hues creating dreamy gradings and mixes on fabrics. The uniqueness of designs is achieved by free hand painting directly on fabric. The abstracts are concepted in calm, linear sense and created by grading colours as they were washed out, fading and blending them on a white canvas.
The inspiration came from Greece, its seas, islands, secluded places of untouched beauty, the wind and the sky.
The muse of the collection represents a woman which is active, free spirit and adventurer but also calm and innocent. A woman who takes a deep breath and enjoys life, nature and appreciates the sounds of the sea. She is free spirit, but still keeping her feet on the ground, she separates from the crowd. Either being in the city or on a beach, there is a fresh vibe to her. A dreamer, a traveller and a silence seeker but also confident and deep.
The collection features a selection of designs which combine flawlessly with the Spring / Summer 2019 Collection. The silhouettes are straight or a line, loose fitted and not restraining. The freedom of the movement and comfort were main goals while creating the collection. The emphasis is not on the body but on what hides inside and the reflection of inner self.
Fabrics used are silks, rayon and viscose, sheer and light cottons. Besides natural fibres, this ArtWear collection brings man-made fabrics like viscose and rayon which accommodate perfectly the collections principles but also are a more affordable choice, covering a wider consumer range. Together with cottons, these fabrics also present a more resistant option opposite from silks which are more delicate.
